We are thrilled to announce our latest ‘Above and Beyond’ Award recipients! Each quarter, this award celebrates team members who go the extra mile in providing exceptional care and support.
Our 2025 Quarter 2 Above and Beyond Award was recently given to four amazing clinicians from our Home Care Department. They were proudly selected for this recognition based on feedback and nominations received from our patients, families, and community members. The announcement of this award was made during Cornerstone VNA’s annual summer staff meeting and social last month. Congratulations to the following members of our Home Care Team who received praise from our patients and families!
Stacey Genest, MSN, RN, WCC, Senior Home Care Director, had the honor of announcing this award to these four clinicians and sharing some feedback received from our patients and their grateful family members. According to Stacey, “These awards are a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Our patients notice the little things. They feel the kindness, the patience, and the extra mile that our clinicians go to ensure our patients receive the best care. I’m pleased to celebrate these four team members who exemplify this every single day.”
Each of these recipients makes a lasting impression on the people they care for. Whether it’s through a comforting presence, exceptional follow-through, outstanding communication, or simply showing up when it matters most—these team members have made patients and families feel truly supported, heard, and cared for.

“I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the excellent care I received two years in a row from Corey. I had a total knee replacement done in my left knee in May of 2023 then a second total knee replacement in my right knee in May of 2024. I requested Corey again this past May, and I was so thankful my request was honored. The nurses I saw both years were awesome too, but Corey went above and beyond both years.”

A patient called in to let us know how happy he is with Jeanne’s care. He expressed that she does a great job and is very happy to have her caring for him. He said he just wanted us to know because he feels it is always nice to get some good news, and he thinks Jeanne is terrific. Great work, Jeanne!

The wife of a patient called to say that her husband had our Rehab services, and she called on his behalf to convey their absolute awe and appreciation to Todd for his care. She relayed how Todd, in addition to PT, really worked on her husband’s whole well-being and taught her lymph massages for his lymph arm area. She said he is exceptional and went so above and beyond and had an excellent rapport with her husband.
