What Our New Grads Say
The responsiveness of team managers here at Cornerstone VNA – timely, patient, and always positive and encouraging – has been most helpful for me to succeed in the New Grad program.
I love one-on-one patient care and the ability to tailor care directly to patients’ goals in their own environment is rewarding. A great additional bonus is the autonomy, independence, flexibility in designing your day when you are in Home Health Care.
The vast amount of different skills I would be doing first sparked my interest in providing healthcare at the patients’ homes. Also, there’s flexibility in the day for personal things as well if needed.
I think the most helpful things while in the New Grad Program was the amount of educational resources available, plus the patience of the preceptor and the rest of the team while learning the ropes.
