Holistic Wellness & Nutrition

If you want to take responsibility for your own health and well-being, but don’t know where to begin, this presentation is a great place to start. We’ll review a holistic approach in caring for YOURSELF and finding balance within your life. You will participate in the “Circle of Life” activity to identify imbalances. This exercise can be eye-opening. It can reveal areas in your life that are lacking or areas where you excel. You will be encouraged to develop some goals and action steps to assist you in having more balance in your life. One of the steps in becoming well-balanced that we’ll discuss is improving your nutrition and preparing your own meals.

Nutrition for Older Adults

In this presentation, we will focus on basic whole-food nutrition. We’ll also discuss some of the nutritional challenges that we may face as we age. Many factors can affect nutrition as you get older such as finances, mobility, medications, and specific diseases. You will thrive when you learn ways to nourish your body and stay healthy. Improved nutrition will also lead to increased energy and help you stay active!

Self-Care: Mind, Body, and Soul

Self-care is important in many ways and many people are not prioritizing it in their lives. We all lead busy lives and sometimes taking care of yourself can take the back seat, but we need it more than ever. Self-care can improve your quality of life emotionally, psychologically, socially, and spiritually. Learn why self-care is beneficial and where you can begin to incorporate some self-care into your busy life.

Self-Care: Spiritual & Emotional Wellness

This presentation builds on the “Self-Care: Mind, Body, and Soul” presentation, but goes into more depth as it relates to your spiritual and emotional wellness.
