Cornerstone VNA is proud to announce that four of its hospice nurses have recently achieved their Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN®) credential. Congratulations to Ingrid Dietrich, RN, CHPN; Karen Baldiga, RN, CHPN; Teresa Ferry, RN, OMS, CHPN, Hospice Quality & Education Coordinator; and Linda Dalessandri, RN, CHPN for successfully completing the rigorous CHPN examination.

The CHPN credential is awarded to experienced hospice and palliative care registered nurses who demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise in this specialty. To qualify, applicants must have at least 500 hours of hospice and palliative nursing practice within the past 12 months, or 1,000 hours within the past 24 months.

“This achievement demonstrates their commitment to ensuring the highest quality care for our patients at end of life,” said Lisa Nichols, RN, MSN, CCM, Hospice and Palliative Care Director at Cornerstone VNA. “It recognizes their unique skills in supporting both patients and families with compassion and dignity.”
