Celebrating Our Q3 2025 Above and Beyond Award Recipients – Office Team

At Cornerstone VNA, we’re proud to celebrate the outstanding dedication and compassion of our team through our Above and Beyond Awards. These quarterly awards are especially meaningful because they’re driven entirely by nominations from fellow staff and patients, recognizing individuals who go the extra mile to make a difference every day.

For Quarter 3, we’re shining a spotlight on our Office Team, whose behind-the-scenes efforts are vital to supporting our patients and field staff. This quarter, nearly 40 office team members were nominated, and we’re thrilled to recognize five individuals who received multiple nominations from their.

Our Q3 2025 Above and Beyond Award Recipients:

Rose Slayton, RN, Home Care Team Manager

Rose is known for her kindness, responsiveness, and supportive leadership. Whether helping colleagues navigate new roles or stepping in to ease a patient’s worries at the end of a long day, Rose leads with compassion and reliability that inspires confidence across the team.

“Rose has been very helpful and always willing to answer any questions I have as I transition into my new role. Thank you, Rose!”

Jenna Copperwhite, RN, Home Care Team Manager

Jenna’s positive attitude and willingness to step up wherever needed keep our Home Care Team running smoothly. Whether covering additional responsibilities or lending a helping hand with patient orders, Jenna’s leadership and teamwork make a real difference every day.

“I want to give extra kudos to Jenna! You are doing an amazing job, and I could not do Home Care without you!”

Christina Rowe, HR Manager

Christina embodies the heart of HR. She is approachable, patient, and deeply committed to helping others succeed. Her expertise, kindness, and constant drive for improvement help make Cornerstone VNA a workplace where every team member feels supported and valued.

“Christina is always looking for ways to improve procedures and creating efficiencies. She is welcoming and approachable, the epitome of what an HR Manager should be. She is knowledgeable and very competent but also compassionate. We are extremely fortunate to have her here!”

Ann Vennard, Assistant Director of Advancement

Ann’s warmth and generosity are felt across the organization and community. From uplifting colleagues with her encouragement to surprising a patient on their birthday, Ann consistently goes above and beyond to make others feel valued and cared for.

“Ann is always a wonderful person to seek help with information and resources. She was amazing when she found out a patient was going to spend her 98th birthday alone and made a special visit with a gift. It meant so much to the patient and was shared with everyone she came into contact with because no one has ever surprised her with a visit like that. Only one of the many ways Ann has made people feel truly valued when coming in contact with her. Even the busiest of times she will stop and take the moment to converse or help out.”

Jayme Thibeault, LNA, Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

Jayme’s dedication shines through her innovative spirit and tireless advocacy for our patients and volunteers. From creating Cornerstone VNA’s new vigil team to leading the first Paws & Purpose event, Jayme’s passion for connection and community has touched countless lives.

“HUGE shout out to Jayme for an awesome first annual Paws & Purpose event. She and Traci from Golden Dog are a dynamic duo. They ran an amazing event that was so well attended by staff and community members.”

Congratulations to Rose, Jenna, Christina, Ann, and Jayme! We are proud of you and also proud of all our office team members who were nominated this quarter. We are grateful to our patients and our staff who took the time to recognize members of our team.

Our Above and Beyond program allows our patients to celebrate exceptional staff members by sending a special note, nominating them for the Above and Beyond award, or making a donation in their honor.
