Over 130 staff members at Cornerstone VNA have a special certification, including both field staff and office staff. Specialties include:
- Certified Wound Care Nurses specialize in assessing, treating, and managing acute and chronic wounds to promote healing and prevent complications.
- Ostomy Nurses provide expert care and education for patients with surgically created openings (stomas) for waste elimination, helping them adapt to lifestyle changes.
- Clinical Infusion Therapy Specialists administer intravenous medications, fluids, and treatments for various conditions, ensuring safe and effective infusion therapy.
- Certified Lymphedema Therapists are trained in techniques like manual lymph drainage and compression therapy to manage swelling caused by lymphatic system dysfunction.
- Vestibular Rehabilitation Certified Nurses help patients with balance disorders and dizziness through specialized therapy to improve stability and reduce symptoms.
- Certified LSVT Clinicians provide evidence-based therapy for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, focusing on improving movement and speech through intensive training.
- Certified Matter of Balance Master Trainers train coaches to lead fall prevention programs that help older adults reduce their fear of falling and increase physical activity.
- Mental Health First Aid Certification equips individuals with the skills to recognize and respond to mental health crises, providing initial support until professional help is available.
